Burao University

 Burao University, is a multi- purpose institution. In addition to preparing competent professionals, it aims to be a community learning centre, an idea hub, a focal point for practical and theoretical research, and a development engine that makes real difference to the lives of the people in the city and beyond. Since its inception UB has attained a position of prominence among other older Universities; It also has the distinction of being the institution in the country to provide a degree program in Veterinary Medicine.


Hargeisa University

University of Hargeisa offers a wide range of study opportunities at different levels of your career. It offer a huge range of undergraduate studies. If standard study options don’t apply to you, flexible study options may be more suitable. These include Evening Study programmes designed to offer studying opportunities to mainly the working class although any interested person who meets the admission requirements can apply to be considered for admission.

Amoud University

Amoud University is a community-owned non-governmental, national University and open to all aspiring candidates who fulfill the admission requirements.The idea of establishing Amoud University was conceived by four intellectuals working in the Gulf in 1994 and was formally proposed in a workshop held in Borama on August 6, 1996. The workshop agreed to the proposal and adopted a resolution for the establishment of the University by 1997.

Gollis University

Gollis University is Somaliland’s youngest accredited higher education institution. Founded in 2004 and becoming a University in 2006, the institution has grown to 7 faculties at its main campus outside Hargeisa and extension in Hargeisa. Under the leadership of highly qualified management, the University is undergoing an amazing transformation and growth. Gollis University is building and enhancing its main campus through an unprecedented construction scheme in its infrastructure. State-of-the-art facilities will grace both campuses.

Somaliland University of Technology

Somaliland University of Technology (SUTECH) was initially started in the year 2000 under the name of Hargeisa College of Applied Arts and Technology. After seven years of successful operations, it became necessary to capitalize the success story of the College by transforming it to a full university to meet the demand of ambitious students and the booming Information technologhy sector.

Admas University College

Admas University College was established in October 1998 in Ethiopia and on September 2006 in Somaliland. Since then the university college has produced more than 10,000 students in various business fields. Currently the Ethiopian Ministry of education has accredited the University College’s Certificate, Diploma and Degree programs.
